In his spare time, Gary loves golfing, traveling, and spending time with his beautiful wife.
Aaron Nirpat
PartnerAaron has accumulated an impressive 20+ years of experience in the financial industry working at major banks such as Vancity, TD, and Scotiabank. When he is not advising clients about mortgages, or earning himself the title of top performer at major banking institutions, Aaron is a huge family man. He loves to watch his two kids, Liam and Sophia, play sports alongside his wife Tanya. Aaron is an avid traveler, loves to be outdoors, and enjoys playing golf in the summertime. As a loyal Vancouverite, he is obviously also a fan of the Canucks.
Raj Mundi
PartnerHaving lived and worked in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and the BC Interior Markets his whole life, Raj has long term relationships with lenders that ensure his clients are matched with their perfect financing partner. Raj’s clients include developers, owner operators, investors, and operating companies.
At Volterra, he is excited to be doing what will probably sound very complicated to anyone reading this bio—structuring debt solutions to further borrowers investment objectives while advising on all asset classes across the debt stack which include senior, stretched senior, and mezzanine financing. See? Prior to joining the Volterra team, Raj held senior positions within large Canadian Financial Institutions focusing on corporate and commercial clients in general and specialized industries. All of this to say— with Raj you’re in good hands!
Parm Johal
PartnerWith 18 successful years of experience in banking, lending, and sales, it’s no surprise that Parm has an assortment of awards adorning his shelves. We are so happy to have him as a managing partner and broker for the past 3 years at Volterra. In his spare time, Parm runs the gamut of exercise and fitness activities—from yoga to boxing and all things in between! In his other spare time, he loves to read, eat good food, and spend time with his family.
Jaspal Sihota
PartnerJaspal graduated from BCIT with a dual major in finance and accounting. He has been in the field for over 8 years—5 years with Scotiabank and 3 years as a Mortgage Broker. Jaspal is equipped with the extensive knowledge and experience to assist you with the best product available for your situation. When he isn’t analyzing and approving mortgages, he enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, playing sports, and is a die-hard Canucks fan.

In September 2023 he took an exciting step forward as he joined the team at Volterra Capital Corp. His impressive track record, transparency, and dedication to client satisfaction make him a trusted name in the industry. Outside of the office Sim is usually spending time with his family and friends.
Ashley Cornwell
Mortgage AdvisorAshley earned her mortgage broker license in 2009 from Sauder school of business. Armed with over 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry - 2 as a broker and 12 as a mortgage specialist for Scotiabank, she is a brilliant addition to the Volterra team.
In her downtime, she takes care of her two beautiful dogs, Luci and Turk (Ashley takes being a dog mom very seriously). She also loves to cook, read, and travel. In her previous job as a rehabilitation assistant, she learned to speak some Punjabi and German words. All this to say, there's truly nothing Ashley can't do!
Pammi Bhatti

She is a passionate stay-at-home mom with two kids. As a true wonder woman, she spends whatever downtime she can find baking, gardening, and traveling.
Sukhjot Bains
Mortgage AdvisorAs a former standout athlete, Sukhjot was recognized as the B.C high school player of the year in 2014, played Division 1 basketball at the University of Wisconsin—Green Bay, and played professional ball in Sweden. After concluding his athletic journey, Sukhjot entered the financial world and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Studies and an Associates Degree in Finance at the University of Fraser Valley. Leveraging his financial expertise, Sukhjot decided to make the transition into the real estate industry through attending the UBC Sauder Mortgage Broker program. He is now a proud member of the BCFSA.

Despite all these working years, Prab isn’t as old as this bio seems to suggest. As an athlete all his life, Prab still enjoys a good game of basketball, ball hockey, and golf.

As the Office Manager, she keeps everybody on schedule and ensures the office runs smoothly. When she’s not at the front desk kindly answering emails, phone calls, greeting clients, and keeping the whole Volterra team in check, Susan loves to spend time with friends, family, and creating DIY crafts.

Mortgage AssistantOur can-do-it-all mortgage assistant Jennifer has a Bachelors in Psychology and a Computer Systems Technician diploma. With over 3 years in the mortgage field under her belt, she manages Volterra’s high volume loan paperwork, juggles customer relation targets, and reviews and validates applicant histories.
Gagan Gill
In-House NotaryGagan was commissioned as a Notary Public after completing her Masters in Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University. Prior to becoming a Notary Public, Gagan completed her Bachelor's of Commerce degree with a specialization in Finance at the University of British Columbia. When she’s not in the office, Gagan enjoys doing self-care activities such as yoga, eating good food, traveling, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her adorable puppy (aka the Volterra mascot) Singhy.
